Republican Ridiculousness

Think Progress » Fox and Friends’ Carlson warns McClellan: He ‘better not have any skeletons in his closet.’

First of all, take a moment to read that article. I am getting really sick of the "party loyalty before country loyalty" mentality that the republicans' current modus operandi. We should be patriots, all of us. Being a patriot does not mean supporting a bad president, it means supporting our country. The president is not the country; he is the ultimate extension of the people--a fact that the current president has disregarded time and time again.

In his book, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception, Scott McClellan is revealing some truths that the White House would prefer he didn't. The truth of the matter is that McClellan is doing what any true patriot should do. He has knowledge and is using it in an attempt to educate the people--to make them aware of just how much of a fraud the current regime is. The beauty of the situation is that there are stories coming out now that back him up.

It seems like the further we progress, the less we accomplish as a whole. In case you hadn't figured it out by now, I'm a democrat. That isn't to say that I don't have issues with the democratic party as well but I could never be a republican. Prior to the start of the election, I honestly believed that it would be a cut and dried win for the democratic party. Now, I'm not so sure. A lot of the problem has to do with the fact that Hillary Clinton is hurting the party as whole by refusing to concede. When the democratic party took over the majority in congress, they hurt the party by not having the balls to keep a tighter leash on the president. Add to this the fact that McCain has enjoyed a relatively easy relationship with the press and suddenly our "assured" victory doesn't seem as concrete as one would like.

But then again, I'm just some asshole on the internet bitching... blah blah... republicans are evil, etc.
